4-16-6: LIABILITY INSURANCE:
An owner of any vacant building must obtain liability insurance and maintain such insurance for as long as the building is vacant, and file evidence of such insurance with their registration form, said insurance must meet the following requirements: $500,000 for a vacant residential building of one to three units; $750,000 for a vacant residential building of four to eleven units; $1,000,000 for a vacant residential building of 12 to 48 units; $2,000,000 for a vacant residential building of more than 48 units; and $2,000,000 for a vacant manufacturing, industrial, storage, or nonresidential commercial building. Written notice shall be supplied to the Building and Neighborhood Services Division within thirty (30) days of any lapse, cancellation, or change in the coverage required by this Chapter at any time upon the request of the head of Building and Neighborhood Services.
