16-2-19: EMERGENCY DISCONNECT AND RECONNECT FOR CAUSES UNRELATED TO NONPAYMENT:
   A.   Emergency Disconnect Of Service: In the event a user requests an emergency disconnect of his service after regular working hours as established by the department, the service will be disconnected provided the user agrees in writing to pay to the department on the next working day a disconnect charge equal to the amount of the minimum call out provided by current established labor rates. Should the user fail to pay the disconnect charge on the next working day, his service will not be reconnected until said amount is paid to the department.
   B.   Reconnection After Hours; Fee: If the user requests the service reconnected after working hours, the reconnection will be made provided the user agrees in writing to pay to the department on the next working day a reconnection charge equal to the amount of the minimum call out provided by current established labor rates. Should the user fail to pay the reconnection charge on the next working day then the user's service will be immediately discontinued and will not be reconnected until all amounts due the department plus an additional reconnection charge of forty dollars ($40.00) is paid. The reconnection charge assessed under this section may be waived by the department if the city has not incurred additional expenses due to the reconnect service. (Ord. 2012-35)
