Section 2-2009 Duties of treasurer generally.
   It shall be the duty of the treasurer to:
      (1)   Receive and keep all moneys and funds belonging to the Town that are paid into the Town treasury.
      (2)   Keep an accurate account of all funds which he shall receive on behalf of the Town.
      (3)   Give a receipt for all moneys received by him.
      (4)   Render annually, and at such other times as the board may require, an accurate statement of receipts and disbursements.
      (5)   Acknowledge and pay only such warrants as have been approved by the Town accountant.
      (6)   Perform such other duties as may be required of him by law or by the Board.
