A nuisance when used in this chapter includes everything which endangers life or health, gives offense to the senses, violates the laws of decency, or obstructs the reasonable and comfortable use of property, the unwarrantable or unlawful use by any person of his property so as to produce material annoyance, inconvenience, discomfort, or hurt to any person or the public in general.
