6-3-4-2: KILLING BIRDS:
It shall not be lawful for any person in the city, at any time, to kill or attempt to kill, or to trap or attempt to trap, net, snare, harm or attempt to harm any robin, bluebird, swallow, martin, mosquito hawk, whippoorwill, cuckoo, woodpecker, catbird, brown thrasher, yellowhammer, redbird, finch, thrush, lark, yellowbird, oriole, bobolink, or any songbird, nor shall it be lawful to rob or destroy the nests of such birds, or of any or either of them; and any person convicted of a violation of the provisions of this section shall forfeit and pay a fine of not less than twenty five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense.
