It is unlawful for any person to place or maintain a vending machine in any street or upon other public property. It is also unlawful for any person to place or maintain a vending machine on private property not in a building or structure, except adjacent to a gasoline service station, a gasoline service station operated in conjunction with a so-called "convenience store" selling groceries and other convenience items, or adjacent to a grocery store.
