(a) The Safety Forces Dispatching Department will be headed by a full-time Dispatcher/Coordinator who will be responsible for day to day management that includes scheduling, training, setting of rules and regulations for employees, and disciplining members of the Department according to rules and regulations contained in Sections 141.01 et seq.
(b) (1) The full-time Dispatcher/Coordinator will be under the direct supervision and control of the City Police Chief pertaining to:
A. Day to day matters including advice and consent on all responsibilities outlined in subsection (a) hereof.
B. All matters concerning the Police Department.
(2) The full-time Dispatcher/Coordinator will be under the direct supervision and control of the City Fire Chief pertaining to all matters concerning the Fire and Rescue Squads.
(c) The full-time Dispatcher/Coordinator, Police Chief and Fire Chief shall implement policies and procedures concerning the effective dispatch of police, fire and rescue squad calls.
