§ 71.02 GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT LIMIT.
   (A)   No motor vehicle or other vehicle whose gross weight, including any part of the body or load, is in excess of 18,000 pounds shall be operated on a certain road known as Pools Creek No. One, which extends from the Cold Spring City Limits, near U.S. Highway 27, and Kentucky No. 9, otherwise known as Licking Pike.
   (B)   Notwithstanding the provisions of division (A) above, Judge or the County Road Engineer of Campbell County, Kentucky, , upon an application in writing by the owner or having charge of, grant permission for the movement of vehicles, objects or structures limited by division (A) over said roadway. The permission shall be in writing, and the County Judge or the County Road Engineer grant it subject to such conditions and restrictions as in his judgement are necessary.
   (C)   Any , firm or corporation who violates the weight provisions contained herein shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount equal to $.02 per pound for each pound of excess load, when the excess is 2,000 pounds or less, $.03 per pound when the excess exceeds 2,000 pounds and is 3,000 pounds or less, and $.05 per pound when excess exceeds 3,000 pounds and is 4,000 pounds and is 5,000 pounds or less, and $.09 per pound when the excess exceeds 5,000 pounds but in no case to exceed $500.00.
