This chapter is adopted by the Campbell County Fiscal Court for the purpose of protecting public health and safety in the
, through prevention and control of hazardous materials incidents and releases, requiring timely reporting of releases of hazardous materials in accordance with federal,
, and
reporting requirements to appropriate local,
and federal authorities, and requiring payment by
or parties responsible for unauthorized releases of hazardous materials of all expenses incurred by public safety and emergency agencies or private companies requested to assist public safety or emergency agencies in responding to such hazardous materials releases.
