§ 172.66 VACANT PROPERTY WATER BILLING; SHUT OFF FEE.
   (A)   Village policy states that if a property becomes vacant, the owner may have the village shut off the water to the property and no monthly charge will occur. However, a fee of $10 will be charged for shutting it off and a fee of $10 for turning on again. It a property owner is leaving town for more than 30 days they may request the water to be shut off and no monthly charge will occur. However, a fee of $10 will be charged for shutting if off and a fee of $10 for turning on again.
   (B)   If there is a water meter going to a vacant lot the water may be shut off at the property owner’s request and no monthly charge will occur. However, a fee of $10 will be charged for shutting if off and a fee of $10 for turning on again.
   (C)   If a property owner is having construction done and would like the water turned off, the owner may have the village shut off the water to the property; however, a fee of $10 will be charged for shutting it off and a fee of $10 for turning on again. (Depending on the severity of construction this provision could be on a need be basis).
   (D)   If at any time a property becomes occupied a minimum of three days will be given until a minimum water bill will occur.
   (E)   Definitions. For the purpose of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      CONSTRUCTION. A process that consists of the building or assembling of infrastructure.
      VACANT. Having no occupant; having no tenant or occupant.
