(A) The advisory functions of the Archives and Museum Commission shall be the same as set forth in § 32.01(A), and shall serve as an advocate body for the collections of the Camden Archives and Museum. The archives and Museum Commission shall inform the public of the collecting mission of the archives and museum and serve as an information gathering forum for historical collections and materials in the city and Kershaw County. In consultation with the Director of the Archives and Museum, the Archives and Museum Commission will identify collections in private hands which would be valuable additions for the collection and make contact with the owners regarding future consideration of a donation to the archives and museum.
(B) The Archives and Museum Commission shall consist of not more than seven members.
(C) The President of the Kershaw County Historical Society, during tenure in that office, shall be an additional member, ex officio, of the Archives and Museum Commission.
(D) Bylaws. The Archives and Museum Commission is hereby empowered to establish and amend its own bylaws and to recommend the approval of such bylaws or amendments to City Council. Said bylaws or amendments thereto as approved by City Council shall be deemed part of this section.
(E) The terms of office of members shall commence and end on May 31.
