The City Auditor is authorized to issue licenses to exhibitors of the particular mechanical or electrical amusement devices required to be licensed by this chapter, and to issue licenses to owners or other persons, firms, or corporations operating amusement arcades upon the fulfillment of the requirements set forth in this chapter and the payment of the following fees.
(A) Fees for electrical or mechanical amusement devices shall be as follows:
(1) For those operated on the deposit of $.01 to $.04, the sum of $5 per year;
(2) For those operated on the deposit of $.05 or more, the sum of $10 per year.
(B) Amusement arcades shall pay a fee of $100 per year for each place of business, or a fee of $75 for any period of 182 days or less, within any one calendar year. However, no license shall be issued to an applicant therefor until the City Auditor shall have found that such applicant is of good moral character, the lack of which on the part of the applicant shall be deemed grounds for denial of, or revocation of, such license by the City Auditor. Such fee shall be in addition to an independent of machine or exhibitor's fees. No license fee shall be charged for mechanical or electrical amusement devices operated solely or directly for the benefit of a charitable, benevolent, or religious institution.
