For the purpose of this subchapter the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
MECHANICAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENT. Any amusement machine, apparatus, or device designed or constructed for the purpose of producing, reproducing, or playing any musical or vocal tone, or combination of tones, the operation or use of which is permitted, controlled, allowed, or made possible by the deposit or placing of any coin, plate, disc, token, or key into any slot, crevice, or other opening in such instrument.
