§ 97.31 BOND REQUIRED TO GUARANTEE SATISFACTORY RESTORATION.
   Street opening permits shall be applied for and granted by the city upon the posting of a bond or certified check in the amount of $100 for each opening. Upon compliance with the above, the Safety- Service Director shall grant a permit, stating the name and address of the person, firm, or corporation desiring the permit. Upon completion of the project to the full satisfaction of the Safety-Service Director, the bond or certified check shall be returned to the permittee and the city shall assume the maintenance of the completed street opening. If the restored street opening is not of a satisfactory nature to the Safety- Service Director, such bond or certified check shall be forfeited to the city and the Safety-Service Director shall cause the street opening to be put in a satisfactory condition.
