§ 93.31 FIRE WATCHMAN REQUIRED.
   The keeper of every motel or motor inn with 45 or more sleeping rooms shall, between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., have at least one competent watchman who shall at least once an hour during such hours, make a tour throughout the motel or motor inn for the purpose of prevention of fire and for the purpose of sounding an alarm to warn the occupants thereof of fire. If such keeper maintains in the hallways, in good working order, a system of warning devices which will sound an audible warning throughout the hallways, the keeper of the motel or motor inn shall not be required to have more than one watchman. Records of all tours made by a watchman shall be made daily, shall be kept on file by the keeper and shall be available for inspection by the Fire Marshal and the Chief of the Fire Department of the city or by persons designated by them.
