§ 50.011 CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDING SEWERS.
   All building sewers shall be cast iron soil pipe, ASTM specification (A74-42) or equal; vitrified clay sewer pipe, ASTM specification (C-425) or equal; plastic sewer pipe, U.S. Commercial Standard (CS228-61) or equal; concrete sewer pipe, ASTM specification (C-443) or equal; or other suitable material approved by the Superintendent of Utilities. Joints shall be tight and waterproof. Joints for vitrified clay bell and spigot pipe shall be compression joints as defined by ASTM specification (C-425). Poured joints and joints of the slip seal type shall not be acceptable. If materials other than clay are used for sanitary sewer pipe, the joints shall meet standards equal to the standards for clay pipe.
