All non-union employees shall receive three personal days per calendar year. These days shall not be carried over from year to year. The personal days shall be taken in no less than one-hour increments. All personal time shall require the approval of the Department head. First year employees shall be permitted to accrue personal days on a pro-rated basis, between January 1 through April 30; May 1 through August 31 and September through December 31 and will be eligible for these days upon completion of their probationary period.
