If any person shall fail or neglect to comply strictly with the provisions of this chapter within the requisite time, the Building Inspector shall give notice in writing to the owner, his or her agent or tenant, that the defect must be corrected within the number of days specified in the notice, not to exceed 15. It is unlawful for any person to fail to comply with the terms of the notice.
