Any person who has a contract, agreement, license or permission, oral or written, with or from the town for the use of water furnished by the town shall install or have installed a check valve or back flow preventor between the water meter and house supply. Town service pressure is susceptible to vary at times. The purpose of this device is to protect home appliances, as well as prevent contamination of the town water supply.
