(A) Definition. For the purpose of this section, the following definition applies unless the context clearly requires a different meaning.
EMERGENCY ERRAND. An errand in which one is seeking to contact a practitioner of the healing arts, to fill a prescription, to seek aid from the fire or police authorities of the town or for a purpose similar to any of these.
(B) Restrictions. Except as hereinafter provided, within the limits of the town between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week and between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day on Friday and Saturday of each week, no person under the age of majority, 18 years, shall idle, play, stroll or wander about, in or upon the:
(1) Alleys, roadways and streets;
(2) Parks, playgrounds or other public grounds;
(3) Places of amusement or entertainment;
(4) Public places or public buildings;
(5) Unoccupied residences or buildings;
(6) Vacant lots; or
(7) Other unsupervised places.
(C) Exemptions. A person is exempt from the provisions in division (B) above if he or she is:
(1) Engaged upon an emergency errand;
(2) Engaged in the performance of his or her employment duties;
(3) Traveling directly to or from his or her place of employment and residence;
(4) Upon legitimate business; or
(5) In attendance upon a regularly-scheduled performance or function at a park, playground or other public ground, a place of amusement or entertainment or a public place or public building.
