12-03-03: PERMIT; APPLICATION:
In order to obtain a permit, the applicant therefor shall file with the Building Inspector an application in writing. Said application shall contain accurate statements of the kind and character of building it is proposed to move, its dimensions, the materials out of which it is constructed, the legal description of the premises upon which it is to be moved, a description of the route over which it is proposed to move the same, and a description of the means to be employed in moving such building. 12-03-05: NOTICE OF TIME OF MOVING:
Whenever any person has secured a permit for moving under the provisions of this Article, he shall give to all public service corporations owning or operating public utilities along or across any of the streets included in the permit, written notice of the time and when the work of moving is to be commenced. Said notice shall be in writing and shall be served at least twenty-four (24) hours before the proposed time of commencing the moving. (1962 Code, Section 5-1-6)
12-03-07: DUTY OF PUBLIC SERVICE CORPORATIONS:
Upon receipt of such notice, it shall be the duty of such public service corporation to move, raise or otherwise dispose of its wires or other instrumentalities in such time and manner as will not cause delay to the holder of the permit, all of which shall be done at the expense of the applicant. 12-05-01: ADOPTION OF THE IDAHO STATE PLUMBING CODE:
There is hereby adopted for the purpose of establishing minimum standards of design, materials and workmanship for all plumbing hereafter installed, altered or repaired and to establish methods of procedure within the limits of this city the most current version of that certain plumbing code known as the Idaho state plumbing code, as set forth in Idaho Code section 54-2601 et seq., as it may be amended from time to time, as well as all rules and regulations promulgated by the Idaho plumbing board pursuant to the authority granted to it under Idaho Code section 54-2606. Copies of the most current version of the Idaho state plumbing code and the aforementioned rules and regulations are on file in the office of the building official, and the same is hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein. 12-05-03: CONDUCTING PLUMBING BUSINESS:
   (1)   State Contractor's License Required To Engage In Business:
      A.   Any individual or firm desiring to engage in the business of a plumbing contractor must first obtain a current plumbing contractor's license from the state of Idaho.
      B.   Excepted from this licensing requirement shall be the seller of plumbing appliances at retail, who in the regular course of business must connect the appliance to the existing plumbing system, provided there is no extended plumbing that requires over five feet (5') of pipe in any direction.
      C.   The only other exception shall be a homeowner meeting the following criteria:
         1.   Show proof of ownership.
         2.   Occupies or intends to occupy the home for a period of one hundred eighty (180) days from the date of completion of work.
         3.   A permit to be issued only for residential. (Ord. 1776, 3-21-1988)
   (2)   City Registration:
      A.   Required: Before any person shall carry on or engage in the work or business of plumbing installations in the city, he/she shall first register at the department of building safety. Every applicant for registration shall present his/her state of Idaho plumbing contractor's license. The registration shall be valid for one year starting January 1 of each year regardless of the date the applicant registers. (Ord. 2673, 4-3-2007)
12-05-05: PERMIT FEES; PERMIT REVOCATION:
   (1)   Payment Of Fees: Applicants for permits issued pursuant to this article shall pay to the building official fees established by the building official by rule and regulations subject to the approval of the city council.
   (2)   Refunds: Before commencement of any activity regulated under the issuance of a valid permit, the building official may authorize the refunding of no more than eighty percent (80%) of permit fees paid, when requested in writing by letter or form, and all rights granted by the permits are terminated. Plan review fees and deposits, if any, shall not be refundable. (Ord. 2910, 5-21-2012)
   (3)   Permit Revocation: The building official may revoke any permit issued in error, any permit issued on the basis of incorrect information or upon learning of work which has been performed in violation of this code or any other law of the state of Idaho. Upon revocation the permit holder shall cease all work until such time that a new permit has been issued or written notification of reactivation of the nullified permit has been received.
