(a) Before any person, firm or corporation other than the Village does any work involving a portion of the sidewalks, roadways, water systems and/or sewer systems of the Village, he or they shall make application for an excavation permit directly to the Clerk of the Village or the Service Director detailing the nature of the work contemplated, the method of work, the remedial work planned, the starting date and the anticipated completion date.
(b) There shall be an application fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) submitted with the application. However, should the application be accompanied by the affidavit and/or statement provided in Section 901.03, dealing with Mayor's permits, the application fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) is not required.
