§ 33.01 DISPLAY OF FLAGS ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY.

(1) The American flag, the State of Michigan flag, the City of Burton flag, and the POW-MIA flag (and United States Armed Forces flags) shall be permitted to be displayed on any city owned property;

(2) No flag not specifically referenced in subsection (1) shall be displayed on any city property.

(B) Violation of this section shall be a civil infraction and shall further result in the immediate removal of the offending flag by City Department of Public Works, Code Enforcement, or Police Department.
