No person shall possess or transport marijuana or knowingly possess, transport, or have under his or her control in any motor vehicle any marijuana, unless that person possesses, transports, or controls that marijuana upon authority of and pursuant to a prescription of a duly licensed physician, or pursuant to specific authorization by the State of Michigan or the United States of America.
