(A) No person shall assault another by the intentional, unlawful offer of corporal injury under such circumstances as create a well-founded fear of imminent peril, or, by an attempt to commit battery upon another person.
(B) (1) No person shall assault or batter another by any forceful, violent or offensive touching of another or something closely connected with the person of another with or without any resultant injury.
(2) No person shall commit batter upon another by causing any object to be thrown or otherwise set in motion towards another causing such object to touch another person with or without any resultant injury.
