SECTION 5.7.  VETO OF COUNCIL.
   No ordinance or resolution of the Council shall have any force or effect if, within forty-eight (48) hours after the adoption thereof, the Mayor, or person acting in his stead, shall file in the office of the Clerk a notice, in writing, suspending the operation of such ordinance or resolution and setting forth his reasons therefor.  In each case where the Mayor shall file such notice, such ordinance, or resolution shall not go into effect, unless the Council shall, within two weeks thereafter adopt such ordinance or resolution by the affirmative vote of five (5) or more of its members.  If any such ordinance or resolution shall be passed, it shall become effective according to the terms thereof as originally adopted, except that it shall not be effective prior to the time of its last adoption as required herein.
