The administrative staff of the Parks and Recreation Board shall consist of a Director of Parks and Recreation appointed by the Mayor, subject to approval by Council. The Parks and Recreation Director shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor and Council and may be removed by the Mayor with the approval of Council by a majority vote of its members. The Director shall be a person trained and qualified to organize, manage and promote the park and recreation program.
