248.05 ORGANIZATION.

The Chief of Police shall be the head of the Division of Police, subject to the authority of the City Manager/Safety Director, as provided in Section 248.06. In the absence of the Chief of Police, the member of the Division designated by the Chief shall temporarily be in charge of the Division. The members of the Division shall have all powers, duties and functions of police officers under the laws of the State and the ordinances of the City.
