An operator of an off-road vehicle on a town street shall have liability insurance specifically for such off-road vehicle operation on town streets in accordance with the minimum insurance required for the operation of other motor vehicles on public highways, in the minimum amount of $25,000 per person/$50,000 per accident. In addition, proof of insurance must be provided to the town when registering the off-road vehicle under the provision of § 73.07 of this chapter.
