For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply, unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ACT. The Cable Communications Policy Act of 1984, an amendment to the Communications Act of 1934 (47 USC 521 et seq.), as the same may be amended from time to time, two (2) copies of which shall be maintained on file in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer for public inspection.
CABLE OPERATOR. Shall have the meaning set forth in Section 602(5) of the Act (47 USC 522(5)).
CABLE SERVICE. Shall have the meaning set forth in Section 602(6) of the Act (47 USC 522(6)).
CABLE SYSTEM. Shall have the meaning set forth in Section 602(7) of the Act (47 USC 522(7)).
COUNCIL. The Town Council of Brownsburg, Indiana, formerly known as the Board of Trustees of Brownsburg, Indiana.
FRANCHISE. Shall have the meaning set forth in Section 602(9) of the Act (47 USC 522(9)) and in § 112.02.
