NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS
Sec. 9.01 Nominations.
   Nomination for the office of member of Council shall be made by petition, signed by qualified electors of the Municipality not less in number than one percent nor greater in number than two percent of the number of persons who voted at the last preceding regular municipal election. Forms of petitions shall be as designed and provided by the election authorities of the State, and the Municipality shall reimburse any costs incurred by the election authorities in printing petition forms that are different from the standard forms due to the provisions of this Charter. Group petitions shall not be permitted for the nomination of members of the Council. A candidate for the office of member of the Council may designate a sponsoring committee of not more than five electors of the Municipality, whose names and addresses shall appear on each copy of that candidate's petition. No person shall sign more petitions of candidates for the office of Council member than the number of Council members to be elected. The petition shall be accompanied by a declaration of candidacy and shall be filed with the election authorities not later than the time required by the general laws of Ohio for candidates for municipal offices who are to be nominated by petition. No primary election shall be held for the nomination of candidates for the office of member of Council.
