(A)
A golf cart operated on a town street shall at all times display a slow moving vehicle emblem mounted as near as is practicable to the center and at an approximate height of not less than three and not more than five feet from level ground or pavement surface, which emblem shall be mounted so as to be entirely visible from the rear, day or night.
(B) Such emblem and mounting thereof must meet the specifications established by rules adopted by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. In lieu of a slow moving vehicle emblem, an orange flag or pennant attached to a pole affixed to the golf cart so that the flag or pennant is at least seven feet above the surface of the street may be used, the size of which to be determined by the Town Marshal as a condition of registration and operation.
(C) No golf cart shall be operated on a town street between one-half hour after sunset and one-half hour before sunrise unless the golf cart is equipped with two headlamps, two tail lamps, front and rear turn lamps, and rear brake lamps, all of which must be visible from a distance of not less than 500 feet.
