Every license issued under this subchapter shall be deemed to confer a personal privilege to transact, carry on or conduct a business, profession, trade or occupation in the town, and the privilege shall not be exercised except by the person licensed. Transfer of the license, except as authorized in this subchapter, shall be invalid and shall not relieve the transferee from the obligation of procuring a license in accordance with the provisions of this subchapter.
