(A) Each police officer of the town shall be sworn in at the inception of his or her duties.
(B) An identification card shall be furnished by the town to each officer and shall be surrendered to the town upon cessation of employment.
(C) Each officer shall be furnished with a badge indicating his or her authority and the badge is to remain the property of the town. The badge shall be surrendered to the town upon cessation of employment.
(D) Each officer shall be furnished with a weapon and the weapon is to remain the property of the town. The weapon and any other clothing or equipment purchased by the town shall be property of the town and shall be surrendered to the town upon cessation of employment.
