The fines corresponding to each scheduled violation, as set forth above in § 31.62, are applicable only if a person charged with a violation timely admits the violation and pays to the Violations Clerk the full amount of the fine assessed. If a greater fine for an ordinance violation is prescribed by a town ordinance or in the town code, the town may seek to recover up to the maximum fine for any scheduled violation not timely admitted or corresponding fine not timely paid.
