(a) Members of the Police Department shall have all the powers conferred by law upon police officers under the Ohio Revised Code, and such other powers, not inconsistent with the nature of their offices, as are conferred by ordinance of Council from time to time.
(b) Except in the event of an emergency or similar unforeseen circumstances, not less than two police officers from the persons identified in Section 258.01(a) shall be on duty within the Village at all times. Nothing in this section shall be construed to delimit, abrogate or alter any power or duty granted to Police Department members pursuant to subsection (a) hereof.
