(a) Rental of the Village Hall shall be restricted to Village residents, employees and businesses only and to those who are twenty-one years of age or older.
(b) A deposit of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) shall be required for use of the Village Hall and kitchen to insure against any loss or breakage or leaving the premises in an unreasonably dirty condition. Said deposit shall be tendered at the Municipal Center Administrative Offices and shall be made by check, cash or money order. Dates for the use of the Village Hall and kitchen shall not be reserved until the aforesaid deposit is made. The deposit shall be required for a business rental whose rental fee has been waived by Council. Extraordinary loss, not covered by the above fee, will be charged to the permit holder.
(c) Capacities enumerated in Section 1062.01 shall be strictly observed.
(d) Permits must be obtained and the deposit paid a minimum of ten days prior to the date of the event.
(e) Any Village organization, sanctioned as such by Council, shall be exempt from the rental fees and deposits.
(f) Application for rental of the Village Hall for business or commercial use by any business operating within the Village shall be made at the office of the Clerk/Treasurer. However, such application shall be reviewed by and be subject to the approval of Council.
(g) Permit holders shall be solely responsible for the conditions of rental contained in this section.
(h) No permit issued for the use of the Village Hall shall be valid during the hours of 1:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
(i) Use of the Village Hall and kitchen shall further be conditioned upon the following:
(1) Responsibility for obtaining access to the Community Center will rest with the permit holder. The permit holder is required to appear at the Police Department, 345 Tuxedo Avenue, and a police officer on duty will escort the permit holder to the Community Center to unlock the doors. When the event is over, the permit holder must contact the Police Department at 216-741-2700 to have an officer walk through the Community Center and secure the building. The permit holder is required to sign a copy of this document after the event.
(2) No decorations, posters or similar objects shall be attached to the walls or ceilings of the Village Hall by means of tape, nails, tacks or any other instrument or substance that mars, defaces or otherwise soils said walls or ceilings.
(3) Permit holders, as a consequence of their use of the facilities at the Village Hall, shall be responsible for damage to the building, parking lot, landscaping and furniture, fixtures and/or equipment therein.
(4) A permit holder shall be charged a supplemental fee of sixty dollars ($60.00) per hour or fraction of an hour for late closing.
(5) Permit shall be valid only as long as the person whose name appears on the permit and to whom the permit was issued is personally present at the Hall. In the absence of the permittee, the permit shall be void and the deposit forfeited.
