For the purpose of this chapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT. Any performance, act, playing of music or singing or other similar conduct at a public place by an individual or individuals in connection with the operation of a commercial place, restaurant, tavern, nightclub or the like when the performer or performers receive compensation or would normally be expected to receive compensation in furtherance of the operation of such places of business.
