The Chief of Police or his or her subordinates within the Police Department are granted the authority as enforcement officers hereunder, to enter upon private or public property to examine, obtain information as to the identity and owner of, and remove or cause removal, transport, or store, a junked motor vehicle or junked appliance declared to be a public nuisance pursuant to this subchapter.
