(A) Hours designated. It shall be unlawful to sell or offer for sale any beverage alcohol or intoxicating liquor in the village between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of every weekday and at any time of the day on the first day of the week commonly called Sunday, with the exception of the hour between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., and during the time of extension as provided hereinafter; and also with the exception that Sunday Class B licensees, who have paid the appropriate fee, are licensed to sell package liquor from 12:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Sunday.
(B) Application for extension. Any establishment selling or offering for sale any beverage alcohol or intoxicating liquor may make application in writing to the Mayor for a one-hour extension; that is, to extend the closing hour from 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.; provided, that said written application has been made to the Mayor at least 48 hours prior to the proposed time of the extension of the closing hour.
(C) Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
(1) In addition to the foregoing, application may also be made for a permit for Class A and Class B licensees to be open from the hour of 1:00 p.m. and thereafter whenever Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve is on a Sunday.
(2) Said application for a permit to open on Christmas Eve and/or New Year’s Eve on a Sunday shall be made to the Mayor at least 48 hours in advance of Christmas Eve and/or New Year’s Eve day.
(D) Authority to grant extension or permit. The Mayor may grant or deny any application for an extension or permit, as set forth herein, without cause.
(E) Vacating premises. Other than the owner or manager, all persons shall vacate the premises in which alcoholic beverages and intoxicating liquors are sold and offered for sale within 20 minutes from the closing hour.
(F) Package liquor stores. In case of package liquor stores, no alcoholic beverages or intoxicating liquors shall be sold after the closing hours as established in division (A) above, but the store may remain open beyond closing hours to sell merchandise other than alcoholic beverages and intoxicating liquors.
(G) Class C licensee. It shall be unlawful for any Class C licensee to sell or serve any beverage alcohol or intoxicating liquor in the village between the hours as shown in division (A) above.
