GENERAL PROVISIONS

§ 153.001 TITLE.

   This chapter, and any later amendments to it, shall be known and may be cited and referred to as the "Bridgeport Zoning Ordinance."

§ 153.002 JURISDICTION.

   This chapter shall apply to the incorporated area of the city, and that portion of the area outside the city's incorporated boundary which is within the one-mile area of planning and zoning jurisdiction set forth by state law, as may be amended when necessary.

§ 153.003 ZONING DISTRICTS.

   (A)   For the purposes of this chapter, the city and the area extending one mile from the corporate limits is hereby divided into the following districts:

      (1)   A Agricultural District;

      (2)   R-1 Residential District;

      (3)   R-2 Residential District;

      (4)   R-3 Residential District;

      (5)   HC Highway Commercial District;

      (6)   CBD Commercial Business District;

      (7)   I Industrial District; and

      (8)   P Park and Recreation District.

   (B)   Any land annexed, or for any other reason is within the zoning jurisdiction of the city, shall be classified A Agricultural District until reclassified by amendment.
