1741.07 GRANT OF LETTER OF COMPLIANCE; EXPIRATION.
   (a)    If after inspection the Commercial Building, Commercial Building Unit, Industrial Building or Rental Dwelling is found to conform with the State Building Code as adopted in Article 1711, the Building Inspector shall issue a Letter of Compliance.
   (b)    Where the Rental Dwelling has more than one Unit, the Building Inspector may issue a Temporary Letter of Compliance for only those Rental Dwelling Units that conform with the State Building Code as adopted in Article 1711. The Building Inspector shall issue a Letter of Compliance only after all Units in the Rental Dwelling are found to conform with the State Building Code as adopted in Article 1711. No Temporary Letter of Compliance shall permit the operation of the Rental Dwelling for a period to exceed 60 days.
   (c)    Where a Commercial Building has multiple Commercial Building Units, each Commercial Building Unit shall be issued a separate Letter of Compliance for each individual Commercial Building Unit. However, in the event the Building Inspector determines a Commercial Building Unit fails to comply with the State Building Code as adopted in Article 1711, and the nature of the violation is such that it is reasonable to believe the violation affects the safety of an adjacent and/or abutting Commercial Building Unit, the Building Inspector may refuse to issue a Letter of Compliance for all Commercial Building Units reasonably affected by the violation.
   (d)    A copy of the Letter of Compliance shall be available for inspection by the public at City Hall.
   (e)    A Letter of Compliance shall be valid for a term of three (3) years and shall expire three (3) years from the date of issuance.
   (f)    The letter of compliance shall include at least: The information contained in the Application of Compliance, the date of inspection, the name of the Building Inspector, the date of issue, and the date of expiration.
   (g)    Where a Rental Dwelling has more than one (1) unit, the Inspector, in its discretion, may issue a Letter of Compliance for the entire Rental Dwelling. A single Letter of Compliance issued for a Rental Dwelling with more than one (1) Unit shall list the address for each Unit and shall include all other required information for each Unit of the Rental Dwelling.

   (h)    A valid Letter of Compliance shall not prohibit or preclude the inspection of a Commercial Building, Commercial Building Unit, Industrial Building or Rental Dwelling for compliance with the State Building Code as adopted in Article 1711, during the term of the Letter of Compliance.
