(a) Title. The title of this article shall be "Inspection of Commercial Buildings, Commercial Building Units, Industrial Buildings, Rental Dwellings and Rental Dwelling Units."
(b) Purpose. The purpose of this article is to ensure Commercial Buildings, Commercial Building Units, Industrial Buildings, Rental Dwellings and Rental Dwelling Units in the City meet minimum health and safety standards set forth in the State Building Code as adopted in Article 1711. These standards relate to the condition, maintenance and occupancy of Commercial Buildings, Industrial Buildings Rental Dwellings and Rental Dwelling Units and are intended to ensure that all Commercial Buildings, Industrial Buildings and Rental Dwellings are safe, sanitary and suitable.
(c) Scope. This article applies to all Commercial Buildings, Industrial Buildings Rental Dwellings and Rental Dwelling Units within the municipal boundaries of the City of Bridgeport. (Passed 9-10-18.)
