A schedule of fees for all building permits, certificates and inspections is hereby established pursuant to the applicable provisions of the Codified Ordinances requiring building permits, certificates and inspections.

Fees for permits and inspections of new buildings, additions and alterations, signs, demolition of buildings, moving of buildings, and if the Code requires a permit for mechanical, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc.:

$1.00 to $2,000 $20.00 $2,001 to $200,000 Ten dollars ($10.00) per thousand dollars ($1,000) or any portion thereof of all construction costs including labor and materials. $201,000 and over Seven dollars ($7.00) per thousand dollars ($1,000) or any portion thereof of all construction costs including labor and materials. The maximum building permit fee shall be assessed per structure where construction costs including labor and materials total $25,000,000 or above and only when the project can provide independent qualified code compliance services without any costs to the City. It is within the sole discretion of the City to determine whether the inspection agency satisfies the City requirements for ensuring minimum building standards in order to safeguard the public health, safety and general welfare of the structure.
Reinspections $50.00 This charge is to be implemented upon the required third inspection of any specific construction type which fails the first two inspections. Permit renewals $20.00 Initial permit is valid for six months from date of issue. Requested inspections of existing buildings $50.00 |
This chapter is for existing buildings that have no construction activity underway, but want a safety check of the premises.
Working without a permit: A double permit fee shall be assessed, with a minimum permit fee of $100.00.
