§ 34.22 INTERIM FIRE CHIEF/INTERIM ASSISTANT FIRE CHIEF.
   (A)   (1)   The position of Interim Fire Chief shall be created to fill a vacancy in the position of Fire Chief, and will serve on a temporary basis until a new Fire Chief is appointed.
      (2)   The Interim Fire Chief shall be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of Village Council.
      (3)   The Interim Fire Chief shall be compensated in accordance with the salary or rate of pay in effect for the Fire Chief position at the time of the appointment.
   (B)   (1)   The position of Interim Assistant Fire Chief shall be created and the position may be filled to
assist the Interim Fire Chief until a new Fire Chief is appointed.
      (2)   The Interim Assistant Fire Chief may be appointed by the Mayor with the advice and consent of the Village Council.
      (3)   The Interim Assistant Fire Chief shall be compensated in accordance with the salary or rate of pay in effect for the Assistant Fire Chief at the time of the appointment.
