§ 153.001 PURPOSE, EXEMPTIONS AND CONFORMANCE.
   In interpreting and applying the provisions of this chapter they shall be held to be the minimum requirements for the promotion of the public health, safety, morals, comfort and general welfare. Whenever the regulations of this chapter require a greater width or size of yard or open spaces, or require a lower density of population, or require a more restricted use of land, or impose other higher standards than are required in any other ordinance or regulation, private deed restrictions or other covenants, these regulation shall govern; but if the requirements of any other ordinance, regulation, private deed restriction or covenant are more restrictive, then those requirements shall govern.
