§ 33.02  JURISDICTION OF CITY COURT.
   There is created a City Court of Brazil, Indiana pursuant to I.C. 33-10.1 which shall have criminal jurisdiction of all violations of ordinances of the city of Brazil and of all misdemeanors and infractions and civil jurisdiction in all civil cases where the amount in controversy does not exceed the statutory limit, with the exceptions of actions for slander, libel, mortgage foreclosure, where the title to real estate is in issue, matters relating to a decedent's estate, appointment of guardians and all related matters, and actions in equity.
