(A) The City Street Department, public utilities or the Indiana Department of Transportation may act to trim or remove trees in emergency situations when a tree or trees have been damaged by storms or other causes.
(B) In these situations, they may resort to severe cutting back of the limbs of the street trees but must report all incidents to the City Tree Board through the Street Commissioner, as soon as practical after the emergency has passed.
