(A) Before taking any official enforcement action pursuant to this chapter, the officer shall undertake an immediate investigation to determine whether or not a violation of this chapter has occurred, including asking the minor’s name, address, age, name of parent(s) or guardian, the reason for being in a public place or establishment during the restricted curfew hours and requesting any writing from the minor’s parents or guardian as provided for in this chapter.
(B) If the officer determines that a violation has occurred, the officer shall issue an ordinance violation citation to the minor, to the parent or guardian of the minor who likewise is in violation, to the owner/operator of an establishment who is in violation or any other person who is in violation of this chapter, charging the violator(s) with a violation of this chapter.
