The term of the five members who are residents of the Village on the Shade Tree Commission shall be for three years. The term of the member of Council appointed to the Shade Tree Commission shall be for the remainder of his or her term in Council. In the event that a vacancy occurs during the term of any member, his or her successor shall be appointed for the unexpired portion of the term, in the same manner as an original appointment.
